Lawn tractor ignition for off road jeep..

I have a suzuki sj 413 for off road purposes and i have recently snapped the key off in the ignition this is typical as i cannot find the spare ethier... So i thought about putting a push button and kill switch in but i dont feel comfortble leaving it with a push button start as i now dont have a key to lock it... i was about to cut the grass yesterday and when i went to start the lawn tractor i had a brain wave and wondered if it is possible to install a key ignition from a lawn tractor in to my suzuki...

Lawn tractor key ignitions aren't very secure as most of them have the exact same key and pretty much can be turned by any flat object thin enough. It would probably work but you'd be better off doing push botton and hiding an immobilizer switch somewhere.

Find a key ignition off a John Deere or a modern style snowmobile/ atv. Most use real keys.

As WellThatsSuprising said, lawn tractor keys aren't secure at all. I would think getting one like the link, for £3.50 with free shipping, you cant go wrong .

i like what Doug said, you can easily get the ignitions from the dealership and have no problem trying to get replacement keys because most companies have one key for a certain number of years, models, etc. Like my 06 Polaris FST Key works on a 10 Polaris Rush but it doesn't work on a 02 Polaris edge or 04 Polaris edge.
