And STILL a true statement! I'm interested to find out IF something did let go, and jacked the 'case, or if it was just an impact or shock load.

| Ouch!!! Hopefully you have a spare case somewhere. I'm interested in the cause of the failure as well. I don't know enough about these trannys. Good luck and keep us posted! | |

Thanks- I'm blushing... Kidding aside, it IS a good solution. That said, I look forward to seeing OTHER functional solutions, and testing new ideas.

| I will find out in the spring. 4 speed ford autos are known for blowing torque converters or the seal going into the tranny in any case I have no interest in dropping a transfer case and a tranny in 20 degrees or less lol Between MMM and his plow and a 2012 26" snow blower I traded a 50.00 MTD for in the summer. | |

| The red fox is getting a lead locker, in part due to your success, and in part due to the naysayers out there that say it wont work. The ezgo axle has an old school carrier, like an FNR, so it get's an old school locker. Glad it's workin, but I gotta admit, I'm impressed that the CHEAP housing is holding up to that kind of abuse. I had no doubts about the lock holding, I figured the CASE would have given out by now.
WOW
just WOW...

| I've got to say, it took downright VISION to do the zinc locker!
Have you researched and/or tried my suggestion about "Poured Babbit Bearings" yet? I'm thinking it would be a perfect solution for 'wobbly axles'.

| Well Zinc locker is still alive and well. It held all summer including hauling 14cubic yard of dirt and 4 cord of wood. Hope you all are doing well and mud mowing as always!! | |
