peerless 920 transaxle is it worth rebuilding?

i was given a old craftsman that looks like hell!
The peerless has some slop in the input shaft and bevel gear.
...Is it worth rebuilding?...

i would. i needed the same one for my old tractor and i couldnt find one cheaper than $150

Id say so, most new peerless (good shape peerless) trannys are above $100 if you buy it from someone. If you can find a tractor for cheap with one in it, or one at a scrap yard there worth getting cheap all day. Id say rebuild it, it shouldn't cost much and you won't find another brand of tranmissions to hold up like a peerless.

Well looks like i got some parts.
Case is cracked and it has a bent axle.

Now to go look at the motor!

hello i just locked my 920 with two spider gears from my 930 no binding
one thing i did notice abut the 920 vs the poplar 930 is the bullgear is wider then the 930 and it rids on two 1/3 steel bearings witch i like how has your 920 held up and did you lock it? and what size wheels are you using on it i might try 24-11x8
