Hey Guys I'm Back! it's been awhile! got a new tractor!!!

hey haven't been on here in a while but I got a new tractor it's an mtd not sure how old it is but I'm going all out with this one about a 6 inch lift with 23's all the way around.. thats normal I guess but I am giving it a full suspension front and back haven't messed with the rear at all but I have the front nearly done after about 10 hours of work total heres some pics check em' out!

That will look cool, Ive been debating on whether or not I should try to put front suspension in my tractor or not, I am going to get everything together before I do Suspension.

yeah man I'm loving this tractor and from what I can tell so far I think it's going to work great! I'm going to run direct steer too so it handles very well at high speeds and in the mud.. it looks better now than in the pictures because I painted all of the suspension parts black and made it all match plus I added a little plate on the front to cover where I extended the frame on it

Its an interesting idea to use the ends of the stock front axle/spindles and weld 'a arms ' on them. Id reinforce the spindles definitely if you plan on offroading with a simple gusset.

Wouldnt it be easier to just get some real a arms so u dont have to make custom mounts for the suspension u have. It just seems like a lot more work\

He probably doesnt have an ATV hes willing to tear apart, and hes probably not willing to pay alot for the A-Arms. I have to ATVs I would take apart for it but I would prefer to sell the ATV with a frame rather then a hole bunch of parts.

u could probably find some A arms from an atv at your local junkyard for real cheap.

Yeah you might. I know alot of junkyards where I live are closed to the public to walk around in, I can only get in 2 because I know the owners.

it's like you said the money situation trying to build it with little to no money out of pocket and plus my A arms are already done and working just need to hook up steering now and start working on the rear of the tractor

hey guys I've been working one my suspension and it's about 3/4 of the way done I have the A-Arms and shocks mounted it's sitting on it's own now just 2 more brackets left to add for more support for the A-Arms and then steering which should be pretty simple to hook up it's all coming together pretty good heres some pics!

Looks nice so far.

ok your design makes sense know that you got it done good job.

thanks guys i'm pretty pumped to see it coming together have to change the camber of my wheels some how tho need more down pressure on the A arms to make the tires sit straight up and down like they're supposed to probably just move the bolt up thats hold the shocks to the axle that should make it way better

If you have the room, why not move the pivot point up? I would tip the top of the tires out slighly so in a turn or under load from landing they don't stray too far from level.

thats not a bad idea really I might consider doing that actually thanks for the tip!
